Chang's Fried Rice

After watching this YouTube video I was inspired to do some fried rice. I decided to do this on the fly so I was missing a few things. No spring onion - would definitely help Ran out of soy sauce - I used oyster sauce and salt Couldn't find the white pepper - used black Fried rice is the Macgyver of home cooking so just use what you have! I've fried rice plenty of times but have never been able to mimic the taste of fried rice from my hometown, Sibu. I'm not sure what their secret is. Some say it's the taste of a wok that hasn't been washed properly for thousands of dishes. Perhaps.. KFC Rice

So I saw these KFC rice videos on YouTube and have been keen to try it a while. There are quite a few and I haven't found the original, so I just did my own simple version.  Ingredients:  1 KFC original recipe ( my wife didn't let me add the wicked wings because she wanted them crunchy) 1.5 cups rice 2 cloves garlic 1 tablespoon soy sauce Almost 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Pepper.  No added salt A pinch of chicken stock.  I threw in a tablespoon of potato and gravy at the end.  Tip: I think it's a good idea to mix the ingredients before cooking.  The potato and gravy largely stayed the same.  I did mix the other stuff.  I shredded the chicken and skin and mixed it all up.   Tasting :  Pretty average. Not spectacular. Tastes like rice with light KFC aroma.  Perhaps if I tried it again I would use more chicken and add more chicken stock and even tomatoes. ( saw this on youtube) I prefer Hainan ch...
